Time To Think

I admit I am a bit challenged right now.

There are many deliverables due, many proposals to write, many ideas to execute.

I’m not complaining. I am grateful every day for the busyness of my business. Throw into the mix 2 healthy kids to get to school and occasionally feed and it’s a wonderful sort of chaos!

But I’m noticing a pattern. I have less time to think.

Some of my best work, I believe, is when I have time. Time to walk around and consider. Time to think of the conclusion in the middle of the night and spend the next day making sense of my crazy ideas. Time to really think.

A few strategies I’m trying:

  • Building in “thinking time” to my timelines (not as easy as it sounds)
  • Going for a walk mid-day to clear my head. I listen to podcasts or music or nothing at all. (Also not as easy as it sounds!)

I’m trying to find more breathing space to think. And I’m asking you. How do you do it? Where do you find the time to think?
